The body will set on a horse wagon for now. Its portable and it is easily accessible from underneath.
Next, the engine and trans are coming out.
Hopefully, the frame blasting will start soon. Been stood up once by some flaky dude that said he could do it.
The engine and trans is for sale.
I have had lots of bites on the motor and trans. So far no-one has stepped to the window with cash in hand though. The last couple of weeks Dave and I have been getting ready to media blast. This car has a ton of chrome to remove, but each time we are getting closer. Oh and there is a little thing called undercoat, that we have scraped and scraped (what where they thinking back then?)
ReplyDeleteToday we spent the better part of six hours trying to get closer to blasting. We removed the steering column, dash gauges, and all the guts from behind and under the dash. All of the chrome has been removed from the car now. Dave cut and removed the rigid filler neck for the gas tank in order to french the filler door.
